Frequenly asked questions:
Nymnasnics?
How else would a two-year-old say Gymnastics?
A two-year-old? In gymnastics?
Well, she's three, now...
Really?
Yes. Can you think of a better way of burning off toddler energy than putting her in a room with another adult and giving her permission to be a monkey? Me either.
I see. And so, they actually do... gymnasnics?
Well, kind of. They do penguin walk (to practice "spiking"), crab walk (to ready for back bends), bear walk (to, um, I don't know -- walk like a bear?), and horsey kicks (to ready for handstands) just to name a few. They also get to do some work on a bar and a spring board. Beanie babies are involved. Hilarity ensues.
Doesn't sound like any nymnasnics, er, gymnastics, that I've ever heard of.
Was that a question?
No. So, is it worth it?
Absolutely. Not only does it work on her motor skills, it addresses balance, coordination, and listening.
Sounds good.
It is. (And that wasn't a question, either.)
